About Truck Equipment Sales

Company History

Truck Equipment Sales, Inc. was founded in 1964. Over the years the Company prospered and grew. In 1980, the Company bought out Felt's Trailer with locations in Dothan and Pensacola.

Bob Frey bought the Company in 1983 after starting work for the company in 1973. Today Truck Equipment Sales, Inc. is a leader in the truck equipment, refuse equipment, and truck accessory fields. The Company has contracts with the States of Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

The Company sells to a wide range of customers including truck dealers, municipalities, industrial users, contractors, and retail end-users.

We now represent Ford Motor Company as an authorized Ford Truck Bailment Pool doing business as Florida's Body Company. Our partners in this pool are General Truck Equipment in Jacksonville, Florida and S.I.A. Truck Bodies in Tampa, Florida. This joint venture allows us access to over 200 pool trucks at any given time.


Sales Territory

Mobile Branch - covers western half of Alabama and Mississippi

Pensacola Branch - covers northwest Florida

Dothan Branch - covers eastern Alabama, north central Florida, and southwest Georgia


Customers

Our customers are made up of truck dealerships, municipalities, contractors, and individual companies.

The majority of our sales are in the Class 2 - 7 chassis categories.

We sell flatbeds, utility bodies, cranes, liftgates, van equipment, dump bodies, aerial buckets, garbage packers, tool boxes, winches, van bodies, lube bodies, and specialty equipment.

The majority of our work is concerned with Class 2 - 5 chassis and includes service bodies and flatbeds.


Warranty

Our standard warranty is 1 year on items we manufacture. On items we distribute, we use the manufacturer's warranty which varies from 1 to 5 years. Basically, we repair any item which fails due to our fault at no cost to the customer no matter what the time frame.

We understand that customer satisfaction is the key to repeat business and we try to do anything we can to keep this relationship a good one.


Quality

Quality has to be a company's number one concern. We train our employees on an ongoing basis that we must do everything possible to maintain quality products. We feel that with the manufacuters we have aligned ourselves with, that quality is their number one concern too.
